“Having just completed Basic First Aid with Niamh I found her to be lively and engaging throughout the 6 hour course. I found myself completely engaged and wanting to learn more. Niamh made me feel comfortable and at ease asking questions throughout, something I particularly appreciated.
Her wealth of knowledge is second to none. I cannot recommend this course highly enough to all ages and backgrounds. An absolutely fantastic skill set to have for so many events you may encounter in life.” – Aisling
“Would you believe the day after I did the course a lady fell out the door of where I work. I work in a post office for the summer. She fell on her back and banged her arm and head. I found that I was more confident to deal with the situation and knew what to ask and not to panic. With the help of neighbours I dealt with the situation and the lady is doing fine just a few cuts and bruises.” – Denise
Shillelagh-Coolboy GAA organised the installation of Defibrillators in the club in 2021 and 18 Club Coaches were trained and certified in CPR & Defibrillators and pitch side First Aid by Niamh Gaffney – Emergency First Aid. Following last year’s excellent training by Niamh our 2022 Healthy Club Project included Emergency First Aid Training for 8 parents which included focus on Paediatric Emergency Frist Aid, CPR & Defib.
Following the training a parent had an emergency with one of her children. The mother was happy to report back that thanks to the course she felt calm and confident to deal with it. Prior the training this type of accident would have proven difficult for her to cope with. Also due to the course she had purchased a First Aid kit the day before which she used during the incident. She was grateful to both the Club & Niamh for providing the training.
Shillelagh-Coolboy GAA would highly recommend Emergency First Aid. Niamh is a very professional trainer with plenty of Club and Outdoor Emergency experience and is very easy to follow and understand. “A great teacher” has been the feed back from all who have taken part. “We look forward to the refresher course for the coaches and also more Club members being trained, thanks to Niamh the Club can see the benefits Emergency First Aid Training provides.” – Shillelagh – Coolboy GAA Club
“Baineann Gaelscoil Adhamhnain usaid as an chomhlacht seo go rialta agus ta muid nios mo na sasta leo. Mholfainn iad go cinnte.” – Maire
