Description
Blended learning First Aid Responder(far) Course
In Ireland, the only course recognised by the Health and Safety Authority is the First Aid Responder. This course replaces the old occupational first aid and is three days in duration. You get a nationally recognized cert issued by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council and it is valid for two years.
We are excited to offer blended learning, allowing you to study theory at your own pace. Our pre-recorded one-day theory session lets you learn whenever and wherever you wish. Following this, you will attend a one-day in-house practical session at one of our many locations nationwide.
We can bring the practical training to your location for groups with multiple candidates.
Upon completing this Blended Learning program, the First Aid Responder will gain the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to provide effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses, and maintain care for a patient until emergency medical services arrive.
After completing the FAR course, participants will be able to:
Manage life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions until emergency medical services arrive.
Respond adequately to conditions that are not life-threatening but require intervention to prevent further harm before emergency medical services arrive.
Provide first aid in various environments, including the workplace, home, and recreational settings.
Demonstrate personal skills such as composure, competence, and self-confidence while understanding their limitations.
Certification
Completing the First Aid Response course results in joint certification by Emergency First Aid. All successful participants will receive a certificate valid for two years, with recertification required every two years.
